Palo Verde PTA and School News
New This Week

Continuing Our Dine Out Fundraising Success – Armadillo Willy’s!
Thanks to the efforts of our “Dine Out” leader Hena Kauser and everyone in our Palo Verde community who has participated, we have already raised over $700 this year from our restaurant fundraisers!  Our next event will be Tuesday, November 19th and Wednesday, November 20th at Armadillo Willy’s, 1031 N. San Antonio Road. The restaurant will donate 20% of the sales generated by our school between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm on the selected dates and includes dine in, take out and beverages. Look for the flyer that should be coming home prior to the event. Enjoy a night with a clean kitchen while you raise funds to support PTA programs and initiatives!

Spirit Gear Orders
The ordered items were passed out to the kids on Wednesday, Nov 13. If you didn’t receive your items or if there were any errors, please contact Ritu Das (rituparnad at yahoo dot com) asap.

Palo Verde Run Club

Hello Palo Verde Community!  Instead of holding a Girls on the Run program this year at Palo Verde, the PV coaches, Mrs. Brown, and I decided to instead have our very own Palo Verde Run Club, which will be open to both girls and boys in 4th and 5th grades.  The Palo Verde run club will be absolutely free of charge for families.  We are thrilled to offer a health-promoting after school club that is free for students and open to both girls and boys.  The Palo Verde Run Club will meet twice each week starting on March 10th, after school from 3:00-3:40 on Mondays and one other day during the week that is yet to be determined. The club sessions will not only focus on noncompetitive running, but also on teamwork, building compassion/empathy, and on developing confidence and a positive self-esteem in our student-athletes.  Be on the lookout for more details to follow after winter break.

Have a great week!
