From Last Week
This week in Noon Art we did bottle cap art. The kids created sculptures and pictures out of bottle caps and boy were they creative!! No two were the same. Please come by the outside of the office to see the pictures of their artwork. Our next noon art will be on October 17th and we would love your help. We start at 11:30am to set up, the kids arrive to take part in their art project at 12:00pm and cleanup starts at 12:30pm. Join us for as much time as you have!! It’s a blast and the kids love having their parents help out. See you there!
Thanks so much for all the donations we have received in the “Noon Art” box located at the front of the school, we appreciate them so much. We still need more empty cereal boxes, empty yogurt containers and toilet paper rolls for upcoming projects – so keep them coming. Thanks again!
Wildlife on campus, your PTA dollars in action
Grades 2-5 at Palo Verde met with some special animals from the Wildlife Associates.. The guests were all rescued and can no longer survive in the wild. The kids enjoyed getting close to a red fox, a red-tailed hawk, an opossum a porcupine and an owl. Ask your child how sharp a hawk’s talons are, the size of an opossum at birth, what a porcupine’s quill is made of! New this year, the PTA Board worked with Principal Brown to fund these types of programs and we’re off to a great start! For more information about the wildlife program, see:
