Seeking Volunteers for PTA Nominating Comittee
The Palo Verde PTA is looking for 3-4 parent volunteers interested in helping find executive board and committee members for the 2012-2013 school year. This is a fun way to get involved without an ongoing time commitment. The Nominating Committee from January-March helps find the volunteers the PTA needs to coordinate and run many of our events and activities, everything from the Auction, Book Fair, International Fair and Noon Art to the calendars outside the school. The Nominating Committee also helps identify parents interested in volunteering for the Executive Board, which includes positions such as Treasurer, VP of Fundraising, VP Events and VP of Communications.
Helena Barrios Vincent, currently the PTA Parlimentarian, participates and helps drive the Nominating Committee process. If you are interested in being on the Nominating Committee or want to learn more, please contact Helena at helena@hbvarchitecture.com. Want to skip the Nominating Committee and jump straight into volunteering for a position during the next school year? Helena can help you with that, too!
The holiday season can be a stressful time for everyone so please consider during this holiday season donating your time to help watch the Train Tracks. To sign up please contact the TrackWatch Volunteer Coordinator, Caroline Camhy: 919-3261. If you don’t have time to volunteer than consider making a contribution to help cover the cost of paid guards at http://www.psnpaloalto.com/about-us/donate/ Please note that the paid guards are not there 24/7, so the PTAC needs volunteers to assist with the open slots. Request from the PTAC for you to show support for each other this holiday season and beyond by looking after each other.
